The Austrian Gulasch
Gulasch, originating from the Hungarian word gulyas meaning herdsman, is primarily a soup or thick stew.
Originally from Hungary, it is also considered a traditional Austrian dish. Once known as the Austro-Hungaranian Empire, Austrians and Hungarians still compete on who makes the best Gulasch.
Executive chef / owners Wolfgang Ban and Eduard Frauneder take this basic beef stew and create their own modern reinterpretation of the dish. Using this technique, Ban and Frauneder create an innovative menu that combines traditional techniques and modern perceptions to some of their favorite childhood dishes.
